HOME LOCKOUTS
You Knew It The Second The Door Closed Behind You; it’s just the doorknob but it’s locked, and your keys are inside your house. What do you do? Broken windows are dangerous to climb through and usually cost more time and money. Fortunately, Advanced Lock Service can help. With one phone call a professional locksmith will quickly be on their way to unlock your door. Need a spare key so this doesn’t happen again? We can do that too.

RE-KEYING HOME OR APARTMENT
Who Has The Keys To Your Place?
We recommend rekeying or replacing locks to anyone who has just moved into a new home or apartment especially when you’re unsure who has your keys.
When a lock is rekeyed the old key will no longer work and you will be able to control access to your home with the issuance of new keys. Rekeying is also often less expensive than completely replacing your hardware. Most modern house locks can be rekeyed despite what other locksmiths may have told you.
DEADBOLT INSTALLATION
Doorknob locks are great for convenience, but they offer very little security
That’s where Deadbolts come in. One of the most affordable locks that reduce burglary is the deadbolt lock. Since more than 50% of burglaries in the U.S. are forced entries it’s best to choose a lock that can withstand a blunt force attack to better protect your home. When choosing a new deadbolt, you may want to install a keyless door lock or electronic deadbolt and say goodbye to hiding keys in the flowerpot. No more getting extra keys made or getting locked out because you forgot your keys. With a digital door lock, coming and going is effortless and keyless.

SECURITY EVALUATIONS
10 Simple Steps To Safegard Your Home
- Install a Night Bolt on every entry door. They are the only deadbolt that prevents an intruder from entering your home, even if they have your key.
- Don’t hide spare keys outside of your home. Experienced burglars will know where to look for them. Instead, consider using a locking key storage box as a secure, alternate solution.
- Eliminate easy entry points by keeping entry doors, windows and the garage door closed and locked while at home or away. To secure sliding doors, invest in a security bar that will prevent against forced entry.
- Avoid including personal information on your voice mail message, and never indicate that you are out of town or away from the home for an extended period. For added security, women who live alone may ask a male friend to record their outgoing message.
- Trim overgrown shrubs to below window level height so neighbors can see any suspicious activity that might take place. Overgrown shrubbery gives burglars a hiding place, especially when bushes or plants are growing in front of ground–level windows.
- Show activity in your home while on vacation. Keep a car in the driveway, and keep lights on a timer. Put a hold on your mail and newspaper delivery and give your lawn one last trim or ask a neighbor to do it for you while you’re gone.
- Consider fitting blinds or plantation shutters on ground level windows. They will help stop thieves from seeing into your home during the day. Also, burglars hate Venetian blinds because they’re awkward to get past and can make a lot of noise.
- Be wary of leaving empty gift boxes outside for trash collection — they may alert burglars to the expensive, new electronics or other goodies that are inside your home.
- Use an alarm system. Alarms vary in degree of sophistication, ranging from a door alarm that makes noise to silent alarms monitored by a local security company. Burglars will typically leave when any alarm is sounded. In addition, an inexpensive alarm also creates valuable piece of mind.
- Keep the perimeter of your home well lit. Installing low voltage outdoor lighting is a cost-effective way to discourage intruders. But keep in mind that motion lights and alarms don’t really protect your house. Locks do.
